The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to supply and provide all equipment, labor, supervision and materials necessary to install 1 inch diameter conduit from the Vehicle Entrance Gate control box to the underground vault near the Visitor Observation Deck at Lock & Dam 2, Hastings, MN. Conduit shall be 18 inches below grade and all connections made watertight. Contractor shall install one continuous run of shielded CAT 6 cable from Vehicle Entrance Gate control box through conduit, and Central Control Station vault and basement to box in Equipment Repair Room. Total length of conduit is estimated at 326 ft. Total length of shielded CAT 6 cable is estimated at 1,026 ft. The contractor will be responsible for locating any underground utilities and returning any disturbed areas in the lawn or sprinkler system as a result of this contract to its original pre-construction condition. Potential quoters are encouraged to visit the site prior to placing bids to ensure that they understand the existing site conditions, route of conduit installation, route of Cat 6 cable, and the potential challenges associated with completing contract work. Pre-site visits shall be coordinated through the Lock and Dam 2 Lockmaster. Please see SOW 2.2 and Provision 52.236-27 for more information. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses under NAICS code 237130, with a size standard of $39,500,000. This solicitation should result in one (1) firm-fixed price (FFP) construction contract, awarded using simplified acquisition procedures (SAP). This is NOT an Invitation for Bids (IFB) - No Bid Bonds are required. The estimated magnitude of construction is less than $25,000.
