This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is a Pre-solicitation Synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District (USACE) is planning to solicit a requirement for the Lock and Dam 2 Cable Tray Support Project. This project includes the repair of the cable tray supports in the upper riverward wall gallery as well as reinforcing the entire cable tray support system in the riverward wall and landward wall galleries. USACE intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or around 16 August 2023 that will be a 100% Small Business set-aside competition for award of one (1) firm-fixed-price contract. The contract completion will be no later than 30 March 2024. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a size standard of $45.0M. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. This synopsis is not a Request for Quotes, Proposals, or Bids. In accordance with FAR Part 36, this is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for award of one firm-fixed-price contract is intended to be publicized on https://SAM.gov in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the formal solicitation when issued. Bids will be due not less than 30 days from the date the solicitation is issued. The definitive bid opening date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CDs or hard copies of the solicitation will be available. Interested bidders are responsible for checking https://SAM.gov for any update(s) to this Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any bidder’s inability to access the document posted at the above referenced website.
