The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District has a requirement to replace the tainter valves on Lock and Dam (LD) #2 in Hastings, MN. LD #2 was constructed in 1930 and has been in operations ever since. The valves allow water to flow into and out of the lock chamber to raise and lower river traffic. The anticipated magnitude of this project will be between$1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 332312; Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. The resulting contract shall be a Firm, Fixed-Price contract. This solicitation shall be a Total Small Business set-aside. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals, or bids. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm fixed price contract is intended to be issued via SAM.gov. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation.
