This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability and availability of commercial sources to inspect and certify eight “go/no go” gauges that were fabricated by our lock gate supplier were made correctly and meet ACME and/or ISO 17025 thread specifications. These gauges are used to measure acceptability within the tolerances for the internal threads of the sleeve nut and external threads on the anchor bar that are used to support lock and dam miter gates. There are two sets of thread sizes that include 6 ½” - 1 and 6 ½” – 1.33. The contractor will be responsible for verification of accuracy that our four (4) solid plug gauges and four (4) ring gauges to meet the upper and lower tolerances of centralizing ACME 4C threads. The list of gauges include: Plug Gauges: 6 ½” – 1 (plus) 6 ½” – 1 (minus) 6 ½” – 1.33 (plus) 6 ½” – 1.33 (minus) Ring Gauges: 6 ½” – 1 (plus) 6 ½” - 1 (minus) 6 ½” – 1.33 (plus) 6 ½” – 1.33 (minus) THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. Firms submitting responses should indicate whether they are large business, small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or HUB Zone. The NAICS code will be 541380, with the Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 million. ANY INTERESTED FIRM CAPABLE OF PROVIDING THESE SERVICES IS REQUESTED TO RESPOND VIA E-MAIL TO ROBERTA.L.JUST@USACE.ARMY.MIL BY 10:00 A.M. CST ON NOVEMBER 12, 2021. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.204-7. This notice is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider any business arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement. The issuance of solicitation is anticipated on or about the November 15, 2021.
