The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to fabricate and deliver two (2) handy flats/material barges for use on the Upper Mississippi River. New barges submitted in response to this solicitation may be of any design that conforms to the salient characteristics in the solicitation SOW. These salient characteristics include, but are not limited to: Beam (width) of 16 feet Length of 50 feet Moulded depth of 4 feet Hull thickness not less than 1/4 inch Deck thickness not less than 1/2 inch Deck Plate shall be ASTM A572 grade 50 Minimum allowable deck loading of 750 lbs per square foot (PSF) Minimum of three (3) bulkhead sections, allowing four (4) watertight compartments Each barge shall provide flotation for at least 75,000 lbs Each barge shall have 120 in x 24 in loading ramp on one end, designed to support a 15,000 lb track loader Structural steel components shall be standard grade A-36 steel or higher Please see the solicitation Statement of Work for the complete list of salient characteristics. Barges shall be delivered to the USACE Fountain City, WI Service Base within eight (8) months of contract award. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 336611. The SBA Small Business Size Standard for NAICS 336611 is 1,250 employees. OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation. Digital or hardcopy versions of the shop/concept drawings of each of the barges shall be submitted with the quote pricing. Quotes received without the shop/concept drawings will not be considered for award. Quotes received after the date & time of solicitation close will not be considered for award. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes that will result in one supply contract, awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NO Bid Bonds are required.
