The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to supply and install 18 central air conditioning units and cooling coils located at nine lock & dam sites along the Upper Mississippi River in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. The existing units use R-22 refrigerant. Replacement systems shall use R410A approved standard refrigerant. Replacement shall include, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of existing units (including refrigerant), replacing any missing or damaged duct work and insulation, installation of new units, making all connections, charging system, and checking for leaks. Units shall be started and tested in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Some of the units are mounted on roof tops, and will require use of a crane or articulating lift. A vendor must provide a price on all items in this solicitation to be eligible for award. The Government will award on an “All or None” basis. Evaluation of bids/offers will be based upon only the total price included on the pricing schedule for all items. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors. The size standard for this NAICS is $16,500,000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses. Interested parties are highly encouraged to make site visits to the locations. Please include the manufacturer, model numbers, and specifications (i.e. cut sheets) of all equipment your firm is quoting, to ensure that it meets specifications. Please include the Country of Origin for all equipment with your quote. OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation. AMENDMENT 0001 HAS BEEN ADDED. This amendment extends the delivery date to November 30, 2022, adds Item 0019 (LD5 Unit #3), removes the requirement to change the ductwork to accept 2" filters, and extends the solicitation close.
