This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or in an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov) in the near future. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The definitive RFQ due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be fully registered in SAM prior to receiving an award, to include a current FAR & DFARS Representations & Certifications Report. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District is seeking a contractor to construct a a storage building (garage/maintenance building) attached to the existing office building at Cross Lake Recreation Area in Crow Wing County, MN. The work will include, but is not limited to, obtaining Payment and Performance Bonds, site preparation and installing a gravel pad and reinforced floating concrete slab, suitable for a 66’ x 24’ garage, with in-floor hydronic heating system. Garage shall have Met-Tile steel roof, galvanized steel siding, three 16’ x 9’ steel insulated overhead garage doors w/ electric openers, two 36” x 80” insulated steel service doors, and two 22” Octagon insulated windows. Contractor shall spray closed cell spray polyurethane foam on underside of roof and inside of all exterior walls to obtain R49 (roof) and R21 (walls) values. Contractor shall install 400 amp service and electrical panel. This project is anticipated to be 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Size Standard for NAICS 236220 is $39,500,000. Project shall be completed no later than 31 July 2023. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
