The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District (USACE) is planning to solicit a requirement for the Fisher Island Shoreline Stabilization. This project includes the construction of 10 (ten) rock vanes and berms of various sizes and shapes within Pool 5 of Upper Mississippi River, near Minneiska Township, Minnesota. USACE intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or around 27 July 2022 that will be a 100% Small Business set-aside competition for award of one (1) firm-fixed-price contract. The contract completion will be no later than November 31, 2022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a size standard of $39.5M. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. This synopsis is not a Request for Quotes, Proposals, or Bids. In accordance with FAR Part 36, this is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for award of one firm-fixed-price contract is intended to be publicized on https://SAM.gov in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the formal solicitation when issued. Bids will be due not less than 30 days from the date the solicitation is issued. The definitive bid opening date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CDs or hard copies of the solicitation will be available.
