The following is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul, Minnesota District intends to solicit for a contractor to remove the existing two lane boat launch ramp and adjacent asphalt and install a new two lane boat launch ramp, concrete cast-in-place apron, accessible sidewalk with a new aluminum floating dock in the same location at the Gull Lake Recreation Area. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Gull Lake Dam is located adjacent to the City of East Gull Lake approximately eight miles north of Baxter in Cass County, MN. All work shall conform to local, county, and State laws and codes. The resulting contract shall be a Firm, Fixed-Price contract with a completion date of October 31, 2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238120; Structural Steel and Precast Concrete Contractors with a size standard of $16.5 Million. This solicitation shall be a Total Small Business set-aside. The solicitation will be a Request for Quotes (RFQ) This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals, or bids. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities (https://sam.gov/content/opportunities) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
