This scope of work provides details for acquisition of Garbage Removal Services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Sandy Lake Recreation Area. This contract consists of the acquisition of garbage removal services by USACE with a base contract period of 01 January 2021 through 30 September 2021 and with subsequent one year option periods for 4 years, starting 01 October through 30 September of the following year. Sandy Lake Recreation Area is located 14 miles north of McGregor, Minnesota off State Highway 65 on Big Sandy Lake in Aitkin County. All dumpsters shall be emptied between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Garbage removal will not be performed during quiet hours from 10:00 pm through 7:00 am. Garbage Service LOW Peak Season: The Contractor shall service (3) 4-yard dumpsters owned by USACE once weekly, on Monday’s, May 1 through Memorial Day and Labor Day through October 31. All three dumpsters are located in the north loop of the recreation area – accessed via the North Entrance Garbage Service HIGH Peak Season: The Contractor shall service (3) 4-yard dumpsters owned by USACE twice weekly, on Monday and Friday, Memorial Day through Labor Day. All three dumpsters are located in the north loop of the recreation area – accessed via the North Entrance. Garbage Service Non-Peak Season: One (1) 4-yard dumpster located near the park office shall be emptied once a month, at the beginning of the month, base year shall be 01 Jan 2021 through April 30, 2021, and all subsequent years shall be November 1 through April 30
