The Contractor shall supply and deliver 120 tons of 12-40 grit blasting agent to the Fountain City Service Base (FCSB) located at 431 North Shore Drive, Fountain City, Wisconsin. The blasting agent shall be non-silica based, will leave a 3 – 5 mil profile on steel and will meet or exceed all of the following requirements: Coal Slag Hardness: 6 to 8.5 on the Mohs scale Specific Gravity: 2.6 – 4.2 Hard, Angular particle shape All material shall be delivered in 3,000 to 4,000 pound jumbo bags on or before October 30, 2020. The contractor shall provide protective covering and pallets for the blasting material. All shipping is free on board (FOB) destination to FCSB. Technical data sheets shall be submitted to the Government for review and approval prior to coordinating a delivery date after contract award. This procurement is set-aside 100% for Small Business concerns under NAICS 327910; Abrasive Product Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or in an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities at beta.SAM.gov (formerly FedBizOpps/FBO.gov) in the near future. The specifications and all other requirements will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Quotes will be due approximately 10 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, the 10 day time frame is an estimate and subject to change.
