A site visit is highly recommended prior to biddings, and can be arranged by contacting the contract specialist. Blackhawk Park is approximately 75 acres managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers that offers both day use and overnight camping facilities. It is located approximately 30 miles south of La Crosse, WI and three (3) miles north of De Soto, WI. The work shall consist of grass/weed mowing and trimming and shall take place at Blackhawk Park, Millstone Landing, and Bad Axe Landing. An optional flood cleanup of Blackhawk Park may be necessary after high water event. The Government contracting officer will authorize the use of this line item. Contractor shall remove all debris from mowed areas, roadway, and parking lots, and complete an initial mowing. When completed it shall be back to pre-flood conditions and general mowing can resume without issues. A fall leaf cleanup of Blackhawk Park shall be completed. This includes the removal or mulching of leaves, branches and twigs that fall during this time. Amendment 00001 - was issued to delete the wording in the scope of work requiring work 5 days per week.
