The contractor shall provide a sub-meter, stable positioning service for use in hydrographic surveying and dredging operations anywhere on the Mississippi River or its tributaries. The system shall have sufficient redundancies to ensure uninterrupted service during an outage to the primary system. River bluffs on the Mississippi River system shall not impair the ability of the system to provide accurate sub-meter, stable positioning. Use of the system shall not be dependent on the availability of an internet connection. The service will be used in conjunction with the following government owned GPS receivers: 4 ea Trimble model SPS461. Offeror's shall provide sufficient documentation with their quote to allow the Corps to assess whether the product they will provide meets the technical requirements laid out above.
