The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District is seeking vendors capable of supplying a High Force Fusion Machine to be used for fusing plastic dredge pipe for hydraulic dredging operations. The machine would be required to fuse pipe sizes 8” IPS – 24” OD. Other specifications may include: High Force Fusion Machine, facer, heater, 24” OD butt fusion inserts, and lifting assembly with the following specifications: Weight Machine: 5,500 to 6,500 pounds 4-Jaw Carriage: 3,500 to 4,000 pounds Facer: 350 to 425 pounds Heater: 225 to 250 pounds Hydraulics System Pressure: 2300 PSI (158 BAR) Max Hydraulic Reservoir Capacity: 25 to 30 gallons Motor: 20 HP Min (Has to be 3 Phase) Electrical Heater Power: 10,950 Watt Min Facer Power: Hydraulic Power Requirements: 29.8 kVA/ 28.1kW Min Plug Type: II (60A, 4 Pole, 4 Wire, Pin and Sleeve) Input Volts Requirements: 480/ 600 Volts, 3 phase Chassis Frame: Welded Steel Construction (Painted) Front Axle: Articulating, Steerable Brake: Mechanical Mobility Tires: 6.5 – 9NHS Min, 75 PSI Max Transportation: Pulled with Towing Bar and Towing Ring Lifting: Lift Points and Lifting Assembly Dimensions (Total Machine) Length: 135 Inches Max Width: 85 Inches Max Height: 70 Inches Max Cylinder Selection Type: High Force Capacity Fuses Pipe Sizes: 8” IPS – 24” OD The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project would be 333249; Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. Information submitted will be used in determining an acquisition strategy. It is your responsibility to provide adequate detailed information for the Government to determine, without doubt, that your firm is capable of providing the required products/services. In order for your response to this sources sought to be considered, you must provide all of the following: 1) A capability statement expressing your firm's interest in this requirement, describing your company and its capability to provide the products in a timely fashion. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. 2) A statement of your firm's business size and type with regards to the NAICS code listed above. If your firm falls into one of the sub-category small businesses, e.g. HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned, please provide that information as well. 3) CAGE Code and DUNS number (for your firm and any potential subcontractors or partners).
