The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District is seeking a contractor to fabricate and deliver four (4) handy flats/material barges. Requirements for ALL barges include: 50 feet in length Beam (width) of 16 feet Moulded depth of 4 feet Hull thickness not less than 1/4 inch. Deck thickness not less than 1/2 inch. Deck plate material shall be ASTM A572 grade 50 for improved wear resistance. Minimum of three (3) bulkhead sections allowing four (4) water-tight compartments. Minimum allowable deck loading of 750 lbs. per square foot (PSF) Each Barge shall provide flotation for at least 75,000 lbs. One barge shall have two (2) 7” x 7.5” spud wells. One at the port/bow corner and the other at the stern/starboard corner. Two barges shall have stake pockets along the port and starboard side to allow for the use of removable combing. These barges shall also include 120” x 24” loading ramps on one end. The ramps shall be designed to support a 15,000 lb. track loader. One barge shall be a flat deck barge. Digital or hardcopy versions of the shop/concept drawings shall be provided as part of the offer. The vendor will complete final delivery of all barges within six (6) months of award of the contract. This solicitation is set aside for Small Businesses under NAICS code 336611, with an SBA size standard of 1,500 employees. Quotes received without the shop/concept drawings will not be considered for award. Quotes received after the date & time of solicitation close will not be considered for award. OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation. Amendment 0001 has been added to the solicitation. Amendment 1 makes changes to the SOW, adds a drawing for the Flat Barge Ramp, and revises the drawings of the Material Barges and Spud Barge (marked REV A). Amendment 0002 has been added to the solicitation. Amendment 2 extends the solicitation close by two days, to 11:00 AM (CDT) on 18 September 2020.
