The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Minnesota District has a requirement for quality assurance (QA) inspection services of miter gate fabrication. The work includes providing QA inspection services for Hydraulic Steel Structures (HSS) and other metal components. Services include but are not limited to development of a QA inspection plan, reviewing fabricator submittals, responding to fabricator Requests for Information (RFI's), material and product testing, paint inspections and documentation of the work performed. The qualifications for each technical discipline required to perform these services will be detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) with the Request for Quotes (RFQ) once issued. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 541990; All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services with a size standard of $15M. This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future.
