This is a Notice of Intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, Contracting Branch to negotiate a competitive firm fixed price task order using a Multiple Award Task Order Contract Pool of Contractors. This is a new Design/Build project that will be be co-located with the Large Cavitation Channel facility at the NSWC’s facility on President’s Island, Memphis, TN. The scope includes the buildout of an existing industrial facility including interior renovations to support the work of a new Rapid Applied Materials Lab (RAM Lab). Scope will include three functional areas – Office, Foundry, Laboratory. More details are below if needed. The intent is to provide utility connections for the attached list of equipment (or equivalent) which will be used/installed in the space. The exact location will be indicated on the contract drawings. The intended period of performance is 695 (six hundred ninety-five) days from time of notice to proceed. The proposed action will result in a firm-fixed price task order. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a Small Business size standard of $39.5M. The estimated value of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This Notice of Intent is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals.
