Title of Work: MRL-M Cache River Flap Gates Replacement, IL Project Description: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, and materials for the replacing of three (3) 84” cast-iron flap gates, calibrating the existing north sluice gate, and replacing the switch to ensure it closes fully on the Cache River Culvert. A rock cofferdam will be constructed on the waterside of the levee, in order to provide flood protection to the construction site, during the project. Work Location: The work for this project is located in Alexander County, IL and Pulaski County, IL. The exact location will be indicated on the contract drawings. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990: Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $45M. Acquisition Strategy: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District (MVM) proposes to advertise this project as a HUBZone Small Business Set-Aside. Magnitude of Work: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 Invitation for Bid: Will be issued on/about – 19 JUL 2023 Bid Opening Date: On/About – 17 AUG 2023 The resulting contract will be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP). The government reserves the right to award a contract from this solicitation. The Solicitation Number will be W912EQ23B0008.
