THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATIN FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in the competition to compete and perform a firm-fixed price construction contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District (MVM) is conducting research to determine the capabilities of potential contractors to support a project for Sanitary Sewer Force Main Replacement. This sanitary sewer force main replacement project serves two recreational campgrounds (Lone Point and Cook Creek) at Lake Shelbyville in Illinois. The project will include open trenching and/or horizontal directional drilling for approximately 13,000 linear feet of 4” sanitary sewer force main. The project will feature multiple water crossings under Lake Shelbyville, local road crossings, and placement of air valves. The new sewer force main will approximately follow the same route as an existing force main, and service interruptions will need to be planned around. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. Provide no more than five (5) references, of the most recent and relevant contracts, performed within the last five (5) years of work same or similar in nature of which three (3) of these five (5) must involve sanitary sewer force main replacement. Include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of references. Also provide a brief description of the work performed, contract number, total contract value, and period of performance. Submission of information should be limited to not more than five (5) pages. Acquisition Strategy: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District (MVM), bas been tasked to solicit for and award a project utilizing Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, NAICS 237110, Firm-Fixed contract. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $39.5 million. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 15% of the contract with his/her own employees. Offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM), including the NAICS code they are bidding under, in order to receive a Government contract award.
