See amendment 0001 POSTED 25 September 2021 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement for the Demolition of a Railroad Trestle at Ensley Engineer Yard. The solicitation number is W912EQ-21-T-0027 and will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The work to be performed under this procurement will consist of furnishing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, and other non-personnel services necessary to dismantle, remove and recycle/dispose of the railroad trestle located at the northeast corner of Ensley Engineer Yard. The railroad trestle is an abandoned steel structure supported by steel encased concrete piles with concrete caps and topped with timbers and railway tracks. The structure extends from the northeast corner of Ensley Engineer Yard (EEY) approximately 350 feet to the north towards and into McKellar Lake. At its furthest point into the lake, the structure rises approximately 35 feet above the concrete cap support. The Contractor shall remove the entire structure in a systematic, controlled manner. The Contractor is not responsible for the removal of the concrete caps or pilings. All materials removed, including scrap metal, shall become the Contractor’s property. Safe handling and proper disposal of all materials is the responsibility of the Contractor. The value of proposed work from $500,000.00 to $600,000.00. The solicitation will be posted on or about 03 September 2021. Offerors may register on the on the Interested Vendor’s List (IVL) on https://beta.sam.gov. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Check often for changes (AMENDMENTS). The Request for Quote closing date will be on or about 21 September 2021.
