Sources Sought – Market Capability Survey Title of Work: Supply Contract for Concrete Mattress Dunnage (Hardwood Railroad Cross-ties) The US Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, is seeking capability statements from all sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the following work: Project Description: The Government is seeking qualified and experienced sources capable of mass providing producing and delivering approximately 423,000 linear feet of new wood Timber Industrial Grade Crossties. North American Industry Classification System: 321999 Small Business Size Standard: 500 EMP Acquisition Strategy: The acquisition strategy to be determined after analysis of responses. Pricing is Firm Fixed Price. Work Location: Delivery will be to the following address and can be completed by truck or barge: 7609 Richardson Landing Rd Drummonds, TN 38023 Requirement: The government is looking seeking for capable contractors that can produce and deliver approximately 50,000 hardwood crossties. Crossties must be pressure treated with creosote or creosote solutions or other approved standardized preservatives to include: Ammoniacal Copper Zinc Arsenate (ACZA) Copper Naphthenate (CuN) and Pentachlorophenol or other preservatives as approved by The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for this industrial application. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: Firm’s name, address, point of contact, phone number and e-mail address. Firm’s capability to produce and deliver 50,000 hardwood creosote crossties. Estimated Rough time of delivery after contact contract award. is executed Firm’s Business Size/Category: i.e., Small Business/Women Owned SB, LB…..ETC Firms overall approach to the requirements listed above. Firms plan to use creosote solutions or other acceptable preservatives. The firm’s transportation plan (delivery by truck, barge, etc.) Any assumptions or constraints in the overall execution plan.
