The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interest from prospective quoters for a potential fiscal year (FY) 22 and 23 award of the aforementioned project. The purpose of this synopsis is to gauge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various contractors, to include Small Businesses, as the Government must ensure there is adequate competition amongst the potential pool of responsible contractors. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to said synopsis or synopsis or any follow-up information requested. The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541930, Translation and Interpretation Services. Work to be performed is translation services within the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted to www.sam.gov and it will be limited to local vendors in accordance with Stafford Act. The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer is seeking potential sources capable of providing seven (7) translators to the USACE Temporary Emergency Power Mission operating out of Port of Ponce. These personnel are expected to work 12 hours per day, work hours are from 0700 am to 0730 pm local time. There may be instances where the workday extends past 12 hours due to traffic and driving conditions. Potential contractor shall meet the following: Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish and be able to act as an interpreter for Quality Assurance (QA) specialists. Minimum a high school education. Be available to work 7 days per week, 12 hours per day. Staff will be interviewed and have a NCIC3 or HSPD12 background check to ensure there are no considerable security concerns involving regular access to Fort Buchannan.
