Project Work consists of repairs to restore the North Jetty of Lake Worth Inlet to its original profile and cross-section. The North Jetty is a rubble-mound jetty with a concrete cap approximately 900 feet in length with a height of +0.82 feet NAVD88. Repairs will require substantial moving and manipulation of new and existing stones to obtain the required interlocking within the tolerances provided. Stones to be manipulated range from 6 to 14 tons with a specific weight of 165 pounds per cubic foot. Stone of such weight is available from various locations in Georgia and South Carolina. Locations of jetty rehabilitation are shown on the drawings. The project is located at the north side of Lake Worth Inlet in Palm Beach County. Lake Worth Inlet is approximately 71 miles north of Miami Harbor and 53 miles south of Fort Pierce Harbor. REQUIREMENTS: AWARD WILL BE MADE TO THE BIDDER WHO SUBMITS THE LOWEST PRICE BID. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 60 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 30 September 2021. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. The completion date is based on the assumption that the successful offeror will receive the notice to proceed by 3 March 2020. The completion date will be extended by the number of calendar days after the above date that the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, except to the extent that the delay in issuance of the notice to proceed results from the failure of the Contractor to execute the contract and give the required performance and payment bonds within the time specified in the offer. NAICS Code 237990, size standard $39.5 million. Magnitude of Construction is between $700,000.00 and $1,100,000.00.
