Project work consists of maintenance dredging shoal material from two areas of the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in St. Johns and Flagler Counties. The St. Johns County area, located in the vicinity of Matanzas Inlet, consists of IWW Cuts SJ-59, SJ- 60, SJ-61, and settling basin adjacent to Cuts SJ-60 and SJ-61. In Flagler County the dredging area consists of Cut F-2. Excavated material from these areas will be pumped to a beach placement area located at Summer Haven south of Matanzas Inlet. Incidental work includes beach tilling, endangered species and turbidity monitoring, and vibration monitoring and control at the Summer Haven placement area. The estimated period of performance for the required work is 180 calendar days after the Contractor receives the notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $8,000,000.00. NAICS Code 237990, size standard $27.5 million. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION. ALL RESPONSIBLE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED A SMALL BUSINESS, A FIRM MUST PERFORM AT LEAST 40 PERCENT OF THE VOLUME DREDGED WITH ITS OWN EQUIPMENT OR EQUIPMENT OWNED BY ANOTHER SMALL BUSINESS (13 CFR 121). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 15 April 2019 with bids due on or about 21 May 2019. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: https://fedbizopps.gov/.
