The work includes renourishing approximately 1.4 miles of shoreline on the north reach and approximately 0.4 mile of shoreline on the south reach. The borrow area is located in the shoal to the north of Boca Grande Pass. Project work also includes, but is not limited to, beach tilling, pipeline corridor hardbottom mapping, construction/vibration control and monitoring, turbidity monitoring, environmental species monitoring, beach fill remediation and incidental related work. The use of hopper dredges is prohibited. NOTE: The Seagoing Barge Rules (46 USC 2101 et seq.) apply to this project. The period of performance for this work is a total of 135 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed including 90 calendar days for commencement. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. ALL RESPONSIBLE OFFERORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 14 Jan 2019 with a response date of 28 Mar 2019. The IFB will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: https://fedbizopps.gov/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation.
