The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Rock Island District (MVR), intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Tugboat Service for LaGrange Lock and Dam. The contractor is responsible for providing tugboat services to LaGrange Lock and Dam during dam operations when river conditions are getting worse and require additional vessels with more capability to ensure safety and mission accomplishment during dam operations. Additionally, contractors will be required to submit documentation they will be able to provide tugboat services within 4 hours of service request. This pre-solicitation notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any supplies or services, or for the Government to pay for the information received. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information to response to this pre-solicitation notice or any follow up information requested. Consequently, no solicitation is being issued at this time. Therefore, no award will be made as a result of providing this information.
