Q1. This service appears to be a specialty type of weed abatement service requiring special equipment and unique access arrangements. (CAGE 1K2Z5) Number of bids received: two (2) 2. Mississippi River Lock and Dam 11-22 Herbicide Spraying Call Order W912EK-20-F-0023 (three-year order) under Basic Purchase Agreement: W912EK-17-A-0013 Award amount: $122,130.40 Awarded to: MIDWEST MOWING, INC (CAGE 35ZF2) Number of bids received: two (2) 3. Mississippi River Recreation Areas Herbicide Spraying Contract W912EK-18-P-0078 (five-year contract) Award amount: $38,820.53 Awarded to: 4 Control Inc. (CAGE 1K2Z5) Number of bids received: four (4) Update 4/11/2023: The anticipated solicitation will be issued under the number: W912EK23Q0021. Be sure to follow this notice and also look for this solicitation number on sam.gov in the coming weeks. The solicitation number will also be the notice ID. Update 4/6/2023: The Government anticipates issuing this solicitation in April 2023. Additional information about locations and approved herbicides has been added in the attachments/links section below. This notice serves to notify interested parties that the Government intends to issue a solicitation for Herbicide Spraying. The contractor shall provide for the pre-emergent control and eradication of target vegetative growth, through the provision and application of chemical herbicides on specified areas at nine recreation areas and twelve locks and dams. The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, herbicides, travel time, mobilization, and state licenses necessary to accomplish the specified vegetative control as define in the Performance Work Statement. This pre-solicitation notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any supplies or services, or for the Government to pay for the information received. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information to response to this pre-solicitation notice or any follow up information requested. Consequently, no solicitation is being issued at this time. Therefore, no award will be made as a result of providing this information.
