Update 21 June 2023: This presolicitation notice is being updated to add the draft specifications for the project. DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION Marseilles Lock and Dam is located southwest of Marseilles, Illinois, near Illini State Park. Marseilles Lock is 244.6 miles above the confluence of the Illinois River with the Mississippi river at Grafton, Illinois, at the foot of Bells Island. Marseilles Dam is 2.5 miles upstream of the lock at the head of Bells Island. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The Government has a requirement for rehabilitation of lock components at Marseilles Lock and Dam. The project will include replacement of the Lock electrical system. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of new ductbanks, construction of an extensions to the existing Maintenance Building and Central Control Station (MBCCS), construction of a new metal building enclosure, installation of a new generator and compressors, new bubbler piping, installation of a new manhole on the riverwall side, and installation of a new motor control center (MCC).
