THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID, NOR A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. SOURCES SOUGHT: CLASSIFICTION CODE: S - Service NAICS CODE: 562111 – Solid Waste Collection SIZE STANDARD: 41.5 M SYNOPSIS: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is seeking businesses that can provide the following: The work consists of providing waste management services: refuse collection, removal and disposal; and single- stream recycling collection, removal and disposal. Single-stream, or fully commingled, recycling will allow all paper fibers, specific plastics, aluminum and tin to be mixed in a single collection container. Contractor will furnish items such as refuse storage containers, single-stream recycling bins, labor, supplies, fuel and vehicles necessary to collect, transport and properly dispose of refuse and recyclables from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Coralville Lake Project, Johnson County, Iowa. Additional servicing of refuse and recycling containers at the Dam Complex, Sugar Bottom and Sandy Beach may be requested by the Operations Manager or their authorized representative and will not exceed nine (9) per year (a maximum of three (3) per area). The proposed contract will be a Small business set aside, firm fixed price, with the expected period of performance of one (1)12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods in accordance with procedures outlined in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items/Services and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All response’s need to be received no later than 12:00 pm Central Time, 28 December 2020 to be considered. All successfully submitted responses will receive an acknowledgement by return email and shall not exceed five (5) one-sided, 8-1/2 x 11 pages. Disclaimer and Important Notes.
