No award will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is not a request for proposal or quote or invitation for bid. The purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses interested and capable of providing the services requested that meet or exceed the following requirements: Replacement of the Dam service cranes for Lock and Dam 22, Lock and Dam 21, and Lock and Dam 20. Each site has a crane system located on the service bridge of the Dam. The crane system is primarily used to lift and place bulkheads when the dam gates require maintenance or inspection. The crane system has two major components: 1) an electric powered hoist for lifting bulkheads; and 2) a diesel generator powered system for travel movement on the service bridge, and boom crane for lifting equipment and materials to and from the service bridge. Contract work includes: Design, manufacture, deliver, install, certify, test, and commission the cranes, including all appurtenances necessary and required for a complete and operable installation. All equipment, materials, and labor to design, manufacture, deliver, install, certify, test, and commission are the responsibility of the Contractor. All interested, responsive and responsible System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses are encouraged to participate in this market research by e-mailing the the point of contact listed. Interested businesses must be registered in SAM database at www.sam.gov. E-mail submissions are required. Interested businesses shall include the following information to be considered for this sources sought announcement: Company name, address, point of contact, phone number/email address and CAGE Code Three references that pertain to this requirement. Company’s interest if a solicitation for this project is issued Company’s business category and size for NAICS codes 333120 and 237990. Ability to perform the work at one, two, or all three sites as a prime and/or subcontractor. Details of similar projects completed. Bonding Capacity This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow up information. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or to provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
