The work includes excavating, cleaning, removing, and proper disposal of two underground storage tanks (UST) and associated piping. The Peoria Lock and Dam has one 10,000 gallon diesel UST and a 550 gallon gasoline UST. Proper backfilling and compaction of the sites after removal of the UST’s is required. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with all applicable codes, laws and regulations pertaining to this type of work within the jurisdiction area. This including state and federal regulations. A current state tank removal business license is required including SAM.gov registration to perform this work. All State and Federal rules and laws must be followed regarding UST tank removal in this jurisdiction. All permits are the responsibility of the contractor and removal plan following 385-1-1.
