LLA Levee Pump System Upgrade
This project involves the comprehensive removal and replacement of pumps, motors, motor control centers (MCCs), and alarm systems at water stations to improve reliability and flood risk management. The scope includes installing new MCCs with soft starters and an emergency generator connection, as well as a new, cyber-secure alarm system that transmits data via radio. A key component is the installation of a new water level sensing system using Infra-Red technology with a potential radar backup. The method for delivering after-hours alarms to personnel is still under review by the UCIC cyber center. Completing this work will enhance operational reliability during both normal conditions and flood events.
