SCOPE OF WORK It is the intent of the US Army Corps of Engineers to award a contract to have ONE (1) 4A VBS Hatch Cover assembly, Mounting Hardware, and Support Beam supplied to McNary Dam. FABRICATION OF VBS HATCH COVER ASSEMBLY The Contractor shall manufacture ONE (1) 4A Hatch Cover assembly. VBS Hatch Cover Manufacturing Manufacture ONE (1) hatch cover per drawings S-401. All concrete shall meet specifications 03 40 00.00 28 PRECAST CONCRETE. All steel shall meet specifications 05 05 23.00 28 STRUCTURAL STEEL, METALWORK FABRICATION, AND WELDING. VBS Structural Support Assembly Manufacture ONE (1) hatch cover support assembly per drawing S-402 All steel shall meet specifications 05 05 23.00 28 STRUCTURAL STEEL, METALWORK FABRICATION, AND WELDING. VBS Hardware package Supply ONE (1) set of any hardware needed for the VBS hatch cover and structural support assembly. All hardware shall meet specifications 03 40 00.00 28 PRECAST CONCRETE. All hardware shall meet specifications 05 05 23.00 28 STRUCTURAL STEEL, METALWORK FABRICATION, AND WELDING. 3.0 SUBMTTTALS After acceptance, submittals must include approval drawings for tooling fabrication and seal assembly. NOTE: The Government Technical Point of Contact for this requirement is Mr. Michael Timm. He can be reached at (541) 922-1347 or email to Michael.b.timm@usace.army.mil. Mr. Timm will conduct a site visit during production of the hatch cover to ensure the cover and all accessories meet our technical specifications and all requirements therein. SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY The seal assemblies shall be delivered as FOB Destination. The Contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to McNary Lock and Dam. Delivery of all components shall be within FOURTEEN (14) weeks of award of contract. Shipments are only allowed during normal business hours of Monday – Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm.
