The successful offeror shall manufacture the wire rope assemblies, to include all components described in the summarized specifications below and in accordance the attached drawings, specifications, and standards. All wire ropes and chains shall have an affixed permanent Identification Tag as required by ASME B30.9. This tag must include the rated load, the diameter or size, the name and trademark of the manufacturer, and the number of legs. Furthermore, additional permanent tag containing the part# and/or identification letter be attached to each item. All furnished components shall be new and not refurbished and conform in strength, quality of materials, workmanship, and sound engineering standards. Edit: Two questions were received from industry. Part# 20-3, Or is that something the USACE is going to provide? Yes, the vendors are being asked to provide the adjustable cable sleeves (Part 20-3). These adjustable cable sleeves shall be fabricated and installed according to the drawings. “3.6 Adjustable Cable Sleeve (part# 20-3) shall be fabricated and attached according to drawings LSP-5.4-3-4/20 and LSP-5.4-3-4/21” “4.6 Adjustable Cable Sleeve (part# 20-3) shall be fabricated and attached according to drawing LSP-5.4-3-4/20” Will USACE be providing to us the end fittings for the plastic-coated wire rope assemblies. As read in spec: 2.1.8 & 2.2.8. Yes, USACE will be providing end terminations for the plastic-coated wire rope assemblies. “2.0 The successful bidder shall coordinate with the designated government official within 2 weeks of contract award to coordinate shipping of terminations.” “2.1.8 End Terminations or anchors shall be provided by the government.” “2.2.8 End Termination or anchors shall be provided by the government.”

The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This acquisition will result in a single firm-fixed-price supply contract. This procurement is a Small Business set-aside. Competition is restricted to small business concerns. A small business subcontracting plan is not required. The NAICS code for this procurement is 332618 and the associated small business size standard is 500 Employees. The solicitation will be made available for download on the sam.gov Contract Opportunities website beginning in September.
