The successful offeror shall supply six (6) right-angle gear drives as specified below. Gear drives are to be Brand Name or Approved Equal to the original Johnson Gear brand drives as defined in Section 3.0, below. Drives shall also meet all salient characteristics in the provided specifications once the solicitation is issued by the Government. All items contracted shall be new and not refurbished. All items shall conform to sound engineering standards, use quality materials, and will be constructed and assembled in a workmanlike manner. The drives will meet the shipment and delivery instructions listed within the specifications. All items will be installed by government personnel. Drives shall be covered against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. The warranty and warranty procedure shall be stated in the offer and, if awarded, shall be stated in the Operation and Instruction Manual. Descriptive Materials such as brochures, illustrations, standard drawings, data sheets, specification sheets, warranties, and detailed maintenance instructions, etc. must be submitted with each offer. Submittals shall be sufficiently complete as to allow the Contracting Officer to determine, without discussion with the offerer, whether the products being offered meet or exceed the requirements for the items requested. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This acquisition will result in a single firm-fixed-price supply contract. This procurement is a Small Business set-aside. Competition is restricted to small business concerns. A small business subcontracting plan is not required. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333612 Speed Changer, Industrial High-Speed Drive, and Gear Manufacturing and the associated small business size standard is 750 Employees. The solicitation will be made available for download on the sam.gov Contract Opportunities website beginning in September. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any updates to the Notice.
