The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for the purchase of Blade Seals (James Walker brand), commercial supplies, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 339991, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees as determined by 13 CFR 121.104. Competition for this requirement is Set-Aside for small business. Offers received from other than small business offerors will not be considered. When available, the solicitation documents for this project W912EF21Q0142 will be provided via SAM https://www.sam.gov on or around 1 September 2021. Please do not submit a quote without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government as specified above. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). The official quotation due date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. SCOPE OF WORK The successful bidder shall provide one sets of 6 stacks of Blade Seals. Blade Seals, James Walker Shallex Split 52” x 53.25” x 2.255” The each set of seals shall contain six (6) stacks of back to back Shallex seals The seals shall be of 52.000 +0.000 -0.004 inches inside diameter. The seals shall be of 53.250 +0.015 -0.000 inches outside diameter A stack shall consist of two header seals, two intermediate seals, and one gland seal. The intermediate and gland seals shall be of NM59-74/80 Acrylonitrile/butadiene based synthetic rubber with a nominal Durometer of 80 IRHD The header seals shall be of Type 3 Acrylonitrile/butadiene based synthetic rubber. The nominal Durometer shall be 90 IRHD. The vendor shall meet ISO 9001 quality standards Important Note: the SAM response date listed elsewhere in this synopsis is for SAM archive purposes only.
