The contractor will pick up two (2) motors, refurbish, deliver. 2.0 Specifications The motors shall be refurbished to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or better. The existing GE motors shall be refurbished following the guidelines of the specification provided: 2.1 Current motor information: ? GE Triclad Induction Motor (1) Model# 5K504XA2E (1) Model# 5K504XA2A ? Squirrel cage induction ? Constant speed ? Splash-proof ? Oil bath thrust and grease guide ? 60 HP ? 1175 RPM ? 460 VAC ? 60 Hz ? 3 phase ? Running amps: 73.5 ? 100% service factor (1.15) at rated volts 60 cycles ? NEMA Design B ? Frame 504P ? Motors are not in operational condition 2.2 Motor refurbish shall include these items: ? Disassembly of motor and cleaning of all components. ? Removal of stator windings and replacement with new. ? Replacement of thrust and guide bearings. ? Rotor balance and cleaning. ? Machining as necessary to obtain OEM fit on parts must be included, ie..end bells ? Vacuum dip varnish of stator windings and baked. ? Stator winding insulation shall be class H or better. ? Assemble motor. ? New ANSI gray enamel paint for exterior use. ? Test results from Megger and baker motor condition assessment of assembled motor. ? Workmanship must be defect free and guaranteed for 36 months after delivery, free repair for faulty workmanship. 3.0 Shipment and Delivery The contractor shall pick up the motors from Ice Harbor Lock & Dam within 7 calendar days of contract award. The motors shall be delivered FOB to Ice Harbor Lock and Dam within 6 weeks of receipt of award. The contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the motors in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to the Project. No shipments will be allowed other than normal business hours of Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-4:00PM PST, excluding federal holidays.
