U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Walla Walla District, requires onsite shredding services that will destroy records and other non-paper media to render “Protected Personal Information (PPI)” contained data unrecognizable or beyond reconstruction (e.g., tearing, burning, melting, chemical decomposition, burying, pulping, pulverize, shredding, or mutilation) in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, and SECNAVINST 5211.5E. The unidentifiable, shredded pulp will be rendered safe for recycling or disposal.
