The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources to supply Turbine Maintenance Platform (TMP) elements (See TMP elements for each location below) for Lower Monumental Lock and Dam and Lower Granite Lock and Dam. This will be a firm-fixed-price supply contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 332312 and the associated small business size standard is 500 employees. Summary Scope of Work - Turbine Maintenance Platform The work includes fabrication of platforms, structural aluminum welding, and load testing of a new floating turbine maintenance platform, draft tube door platform, and storage carts to store the platform when not in use. All work will occur off site at a contractor's facility and a commercial trucking company will be used to deliver the completed turbine maintenance platform to both project sites. The Contractor will provide instructional demonstration on setup of the platform at both Lower Monumental Dam and Lower Granite Dam. Government personnel will set-up the platform while the Contractor directs. The contractor must demonstrate experience in welding structural aluminum to the Structural Welding Code - Aluminum (AWS D1.2) standards and in welding aluminum plate 1/8-inch and thinner utilizing the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process.
