The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for the purchase of Farval Lubricating Systems and Controllers, commercial supplies, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 333996, with a small business size of 1,250 Employees as determined by 13 CFR 121.104. Competition for this requirement is restricted to small business firms. In accordance with FAR Part 13.003(b)(1), "Acquisitions of supplies or services that have an anticipated dollar value exceeding the micro-purchase threshold but not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold are reserved exclusively for small business concerns and shall be set aside." When available, the solicitation documents for this project will be provided under solicitation W912EF20Q0023. The agency estimates that the solicitation will be available on or around 16 March 2020. Please do not submit an offer without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote. The official quotation due date will be contained within the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. Description of the Requirement: The following information pertains to the purchase of Farval Lubricating Systems and Controllers for direct replacement of aging Farval Lubricating systems at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam. Central Station Lubrication System (Part # CS2224) – 4 each: ? Pump Type: Dual Piston ? Pump Output: 6.0 in3/min. at 175 strokes/min at 1000 psi ? Max Operating Pressure: 3500 psi ? Gear ratio: 10:1 ? Lubricant Type: Grease ? Reservoir: 24 pound steel ? Motor: 1/3 HP, 230/440 V, 3-phase, NEMA 48 Frame and TEFC Enclosure ? Reversing Valve: DR4-5, Factory set at 1500 psi ? Relief Valve: Factory set at 3500 psi Controllers (Part # SS2200) – 4 each: ? Input Voltage: 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz ? Pump Output Rating: 115 VAC, 5 amp inrush, 2 amp continuous ? Enclosure Rating: NEMA 4X, polycarbonate ? Vibration: 1.5 g ? Fault Relay Contacts: 2amp, 125 VAC SUBMITTALS: Before acceptance of “or approved equal” quotes, submittals must be approved by project personnel. Submittal shall include copy of manufactures catalog cuts, drawings, specifications sheets, and any pertinent data that supports the contractor’s proposed variations. Delivery timeframe: All items shall be delivered FOB to Lower Monumental Project within 8 weeks of contract award.
