This presolicitation pertains to the manufacture and delivery of Spillway Hoist First Gear Reducers and Brake Replacement for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District at Lower Monumental Dam, Kahlotus, Washington. This will be a firm-fixed-price supply contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 333612 and the associated small business size standard is 750 employees. The solicitation will be Total Small Business Set Aside. Work shall include, but is not limited to the design, manufacture and delivery of eight new motor, gearbox, and brake assemblies to replace existing motor, gearbox, and brake assemblies on the spillway gate hoists at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam. Motor requirements: 15 HP at 1650 rpm (1800 rpm synch) C-face mount to gearbox 460 volts, three-phase, 60-Hz Horizontal-shaft, squirrel-cage induction type, designed for full-voltage starting Water-proof, totally enclosed, fan-cooled or non-ventilated frame construction Conform to the applicable requirements of NEMA MG 1 Gear reducer requirements: Worm gear speed reducer 7:1 gear ratio +/- .25 HP rating to match motor Custom Flange mount to second gear reducer Hollow output shaft 1 ¾” C-face mount for motor Input shaft extension and bracket for brake mounting Brake requirements: Mill duty drum and shoe type with spring set and hydraulic thruster release 460 volts, three-phase, 60-Hz 75 ft-lbs braking torque Weather tight enclosure with heater This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals.
