THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. This sources sought is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in competing and performing a service contract for the MVK. The objective of this sources sought is determine if there are a reasonable number of interested business sources capable of delivering a marine vessel to service and assist primarily with dredging and revetment operations along with other services, as needed by the River Operations division and the Vicksburg District. Vessels will be used in inland waterways, principally in the following areas: Mississippi River between Cairo, Illinois (LMR 953.8) and Head of Passes (LMR 0.0), Yazoo River from the mouth of the Yazoo Diversion Canal to Greenwood, MS, on the Red River from the Mississippi River to Shreveport, LA, on the Ouachita and Black Rivers from the mouth of the Black River to Camden AR, on the White and Arkansas Rivers from the mouth of the White to Little Rock, AR, on the Atchafalaya River from Morgan City to Simmesport, LA, and on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (New Orleans to Morgan City, LA and Baton Rouge to Morgan City, LA) as may be designated by the Contracting Officer. The Government is seeking to identify business sources under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 532411, Commercial Air, Rail, and Water Transportation Equipment Rental and Leasing with a small business size standard of $35,000,000.00.
