The site visits will be held prior to the solicitation being released. This notice confirms the site visit dates. The site visits are scheduled for Monday, 3 February 2020; Tuesday, 4 February 2020; and Wednesday, 5 February 2020. If you plan to attend the site visit please send a courtesy notice to Brent Hester, richard.b.hester@usace.army.mil, 601-631-5480. Site visit attendees are responsible for their own transportation. Attendance at the site visit is not mandatory to submit an offer. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the site visit and inspect the sites where services are to be performed to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event, shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. The site visit on Monday, 3 February 2020 will start at 12:00 PM CST at the MVK Harbor located at 2449 Haining Road, Vicksburg, MS, 39180. The following locations will be visited during the Monday, 3 February 2020 site visit: MVK Harbor, Mat Sinking Unit, Lower Mississippi River Museum located in downtown Vicksburg, MS, and the Mat Casting Fields located in Delta, LA. Direction to locations outside of the MVK Harbor will be provided at the site visit. The site visit for Tuesday, 4 February 2020 will start at 11:00 AM CST at the Lake Chicot Pumping Plant located at 3740 Levee Road North, Lake Village, AR 71653. The site visit for Wednesday, 5 February 2020 will start at 12:00 PM CST at the Tensas Cocodrie Pumping Plant located at 10639 Highway 129, Monterey, LA 71354. This is a presolicitation notice for the The Vicksburg District's (MVK) of the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requirement for armed security guard services. The services are required at various locations within the MVK area of responsibility which covers portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Mississippi River. The locations/operations that require security guard services are: MVK Harbor located in Vicksburg, Mississippi; MVK Mat Sinking Unit which operates on the Mississippi River; Mat Casting Field located in Delta, Louisiana; Lake Chicot Pumping Plant in Lake Village, Arkansas; Tensas Cocodrie Pumping Plant in Monterey, Louisiana; Lower Mississippi River Museum located in downtown Vicksburg, Mississippi; and miscellaneous special events and emergency operations at locations within the MVK area of responsibility in support of MVK. The contract period of performance will be a base year, with four option years, and a six month option period for a potential period of performance of sixty-six months. The draft statement of work is included in this pre-solicitation notice. The statement of work is subject to change.
