The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center (CEHNC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Firm Fixed Price construction contract to upgrade a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Room to meet IC Technical Specifications for ICD/ICS 705 (SCIF) standards. The room will be approximately 248 sf with one (1) new SCIF entry. Electrical power will be supplied from the electrical located in the room. Cooling will be provided by utilizing the existing mechanical unit and ductwork with the AO approval. All architectural, mechanical, fire protection/life safety, electrical, telecommunications, electronic security systems prep (Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection System) installation of equipment, interface and connections are required and included with this scope of work. Location: Kaiserslautern, Germany. Statement of Work (SOW): A draft SOW and Division 01 Specs are attached for additional scope details. The solicitation is anticipated for release in approximately two to four weeks. It will contain the required technical information and a specific due date and time. The procurement will be conducted under the following parameters: - Full and Open Competition - NAICS 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction - The disclosure of magnitude cost for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on the SAM Website at https://SAM.gov. It is the contractors' responsibility to check SAM for any posted changes. Contractors MUST be registered and current with the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to receive a Government contract award.
