The purpose of this action to provide storage, maintenance and property control for unit medical equipment pertaining to U.S. Army Reserve Medical Units within the 99th Readiness Division (RD) area of responsibility (AOR). The 99th RD provides a consolidated maintenance and storage facility, Medical Equipment Concentration Site (MECS), available to Army Reserve Medical units within the 99 RD’s AOR. These units are not required to make use of this facility, and depending on the circumstances for a particular unit may opt for some or all of their sets, kits, and outfits (SKO) to be stored at the MECS. MECS 99 is a 75,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical storage and maintenance site that provides a secure, climate-controlled environment in which to store medical, dental, optical and veterinary equipment, and maintain and repair bio-medical equipment, x-ray machines, ventilators and defibrillators in order to support the Innovative Readiness Training program, which provides necessary training to medical and dental personnel across all branches of military service 15 January 2020 while providing much-needed medical and dental care to underserviced areas in the United States. Place of Performance for this effort will be 3351 Lexington Ave, Joint Base McGuire-Dix- Lakehurst, New Jersey.
