The US Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District is anticipating a solicitation to renovate an existing warehouse used for material disposition for the Department of Defense. The warehouse is approximately 189,500 Square Foot (SF) with a total of five bays. General work to be performed includes: 1) demolition of existing pallet racks, cages, and all associated warehouse equipment, 2) diamond polishing/repairing concrete floors/add striping, 3) installation of pallet racks, pallet wrapping machines, security cages, conveyors, and dock leveler systems, 4) install forklift charging stations with exhaust and eyewash systems, 5) install CMU wall for pedestrian walkway, 6) construct handicap walkway/widen stairs, 7) sawtooth/rebuild concrete loading dock, 8) remove/replace lighting to LED, 9) Install IR heating, and 10) install large ceiling mounted fans for ventilation. (1)This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) participants; (2) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220; (3) Eligibility to participate may be restricted to 8(a) participants in either the developmental stage or the developmental and transitional stages; and (4) The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has provoided acceptance of this requirement for the section 8(a) program.
