The Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the Snohomish River Federal Navigation Channel via a hydraulic pipeline dredge. The Snohomish River navigation project is located in Everett, WA. The volume of sediment to be dredged is approximately 140,000 Cubic Yards with placement at the Parcel O (up to 100,000 CY) and Jetty Island (NTE 40,000 CY) upland sites. The dredge areas are in the lower channel from Sta. 89+50 to Sta. 115+00 (placement on Jetty Island), and the upper channel, Sta. 337+07 to Sta. 354+47 (placement in Parcel O). Parcel O placement site requires site work to prepare the site for sediment placement. The work window for this project is 16 October 2021 through 14 February 2022. Interested parties should be familiar with the weather and river conditions for this project location, including an understanding of the tides and currents in the work area. Product Service Code: Z1KF- Maintenance of Dredging Facilities Construction Project Description: The Everett Harbor and Snohomish river is located on the west coast of Puget Sound in Everett, Washington. The mouth of the Snohomish river is about 30 miles north of Seattle Washington. The federally authorized navigation channel is 7 miles long. This single contract for the period of 16 October 2023 through 14 February 2024, inclusive of options, would require the removal of about 140,000 (CY) of accumulated sediment from the navigation channel within the upper and lower settling basins. Dredging will be accomplished by a hydraulic pipeline dredge with placement of material at either the Jetty Island benaficial use site or the Parcel O upland site. Dredging will occur within the approved Environmental In-Water Work windows of 16 Oct 23 through 14 Feb 24. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District requires Hydraulic maintenance dredging of the Upper Settling Basin and the Federal channel adjacent to the Lower Settling Basins in the Snohomish River Federal navigation channel in Everett, WA. The volume of sediment to be dredged from the Upper Settling Basin is approximately 100,000 Cubic Yards (CY) with placement at the City of Everett property Site O, near dredge area. For the channel segment adjacent to the Lower Settling Basin, the Contractor shall hydraulically dredge approximately 40,000 CY of sediment with placement at the western shore of Jetty Island. It is anticipated the work would be performed in the Fall-Winter of 2023-2024. All in-water work must be completed by 14 February 2024.
