The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, is seeking interest in the opportunity to provide all labor, management, supervision, equipment, supplies and services necessary to provide armed security guard services in support of its Chief Joseph Dam Project, located in Bridgeport Washington. A full description is in the attached draft performance work statement (PWS). This document is for information purposes only and is subject to change. CJD is the second-largest hydropower project in the United States. Bridgeport, Washington is approximately 3.5 hours from Seattle. Adequate security staffing is of the utmost importance. This is a challenge as staffing has been difficult due to the remote location. An astute firm would investigate the area before considering taking on the requirement. CJD's geographical location presents a unique challenge in finding contractors who are willing to commit additional resources to address the employment market challenge in the local and surrounding areas its remoteness creates The NAICS Code is 561612, “Security Guards and Patrol Services.” The Government invites only Certified 8(a) contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements (as indicated in this posting and the attached PWS) to submit a capability statement consisting of the information listed below. The company's CAGE Code and DUNS number. Evidence of capabilities to perform comparable/relevant work (armed security guard services for a large and/or remote project) on three recent projects (not more than five years old), including project name, nature of work, completion date, total contract value, and your company's level of involvement in the project. Please provide at least one point of contact (with email address and phone number) for each project for project validation. Any brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. Past performance information is welcome. Past performance documentation should include contact names, as well as a description of the services provided, contract type (i.e., fixed price or cost), and dollar value. The capabilities statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing or developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified in the PWS.
