The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. The Government is soliciting an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the subject requirement. The purpose of the dredging project is to maintain congressionally authorized project depths which provide safe navigation and wide turning areas for large ships while they enter and exit from the Pacific Ocean to the Port of Grays Harbor (project sponsor)and local facilities at the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Cosmopolis. The United States Army Corps of Engineers proposes to remove up to about 1 million cubic yards (CY) of accumulated sediment from the Grays Harbor navigation channel, specifically from the inner harbor reaches every year within the approved construction work windows of 15 July through 14 February. Dredged material disposal/placement shall be transported by bottom-dumped barges to both the South Jetty Beneficial Placement site (priority site from 15 Jul thru 1 Nov) and Pt.
