Construction Project: ***This is the formal solicitation announcement. Bid opening is scheduled for 5 September 2019 at 10:00 AM PST. The Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, requires maintenance dredging in sections of the Upper Duwamish waterway navigation channel via a mechanical clamshell dredge. The Duwamish River navigation project is located in Seattle, WA. The federal project consists of a 3,300 feet long channel and a 500 feet long and 250 feet wide for the settling basin. The authorized project depth is -15 feet MLLW. The proposed action will remove approximately 136,000 cubic yards of material from sta. 254+00 to 275+56 in the channel and settling basing to the project depth, plus two (2) feet allowable overdepth from Sta. 254+00 to Sta. 275+56 and plus one (1) foot allowable overdepth from Sta. 242+00 to Sta. 254+00. Proposed locations planned for dredging are determined based on project needs, specifically the bathymetry and shoaling above project authorization available for dredging. Disposal will be at the Puget Sound Sediment Disposal Area (PSSDA) in Elliott Bay. Interested parties should be familiar with the weather and river conditions for this project location, including an understanding of the tides and currents in the work area. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction - Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, and the associated small business size standard is $30,000,000 in average annual receipts. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All contractors proposing on Department of Defense (DoD) solicitations must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Amendment R0001: The due date and time for receipt of bids is not changed. Bid opening is scheduled for 5 September 2019 at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. The purpose of this amendment is to accomplish the following: 1. Update the small business size standard for NAICS code 237990 to $30,000,000 in average annual receipts. Change is made in accordance with the Small Business Administration (SBA) updated North American Industry Classical System (NAICS) code Small Business Size Standards, effective 19 August 2019.
